Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in downtown Shanghai at 17:30. Our local guide will lead you to walk into the off-the-beaten-path of Shanghai to enjoy an authentic culinary safari at some local-favorite eateries, avoiding the tourist's traps. We will stop at 4-5 food stops. We will sample several dishes at each stop to highlight the best of the regional flavors while sipping on local beers, strong spirits, or some soft drinks.
 

Taste Shanghai's most famous dish, xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), at a local snack shop that has been serving up classics for decades. Walk around with your local guide, not only to learn about the area's history and architecture but also to discover more local snacks, such as pan-fried bun, fried dumplings, wonton, etc. Then we will enter a local popular eatery to try some Sichuan delicacy, then you will find Shanghai food's difference from Sichuan food. Which flavor do you prefer? Then enjoy a Cantonese fruit dessert after the Sichuan food's hot, it will be gratifying.
