Dining & Accommodation
Dinning (Meals) and Accommodation are two main issues for people who plan
Yangtze River Cruise. Topchinatravel provide you some tips for your reference.
Food and meals is a key issue for those who plan to travel by River Cruiser. Unlike Ocean Liners, restaurants on all cruise ships sailing on the Yangtze River have a limited area, so meals are arranged at fixed times. Breakfast is usually a buffet meal (1-2 hours) while supper is usually a table arrangement in Chinese style (about 1 hour).
Take a Victoria Cruiser as an example: Meals are served in the single-seating dining room. An alternate dining arrangement is available in the a la carte dining room for a supplementary charge. Early risers may enjoy early bird coffee and tea in the Yangtze Club, and afternoon tea is also available. Dinner is served in family-style. For a memorable experience, each cruise begins and ends with a gala evening hosted by the Captain.
Superb Cuisine: All deluxe cruise ships feature a grand Dining Room where superb western and oriental cuisine is offered; and every chef has received supplementary training by an acclaimed American chef. The restaurant has single seating, and breakfast and lunch are served as convenient and comprehensive buffets. Dinner is altogether a grander affair where delectable western cuisine is offered as well as mouth-watering Chinese banquets.
Time schedule:

If you prefer vegetable meals or Muslim meals, please inform us of your requirements pre-booking, and we will arrange the special meals for you. Special Catering: Most ships can accommodate vegetarian, salt-free, low-carbohydrate, Kosher, or other diet preferences; however, this request must be made in advance, so do be sure to advise us of this requirement when you book the cruise.

Extra beds: Not all cruises provide extra beds in standard twin cabins. It is based on the space in their cabins. For example, American Victoria cruise ships do not provide extra beds, nor does China Regal.
